It is hard to believe that we have now completed our last full week of school and there are only a couple of days left, both are all day. We have had an exciting week of interesting activities. Here are some of the things we have been working on We were excited to learn about the solstice and to be able to enjoy the longer days of sunlight. We used this opportunity to get outside and celebrate National Indigenous People’s day by listening to a recording of Elder Saa’Kokoto telling a story. We have been reviewing addition and subtraction in math, as well as playing games to practice our facts. Sadly, our Sports Day was rained out this week. Many thanks to the volunteers who came out to help and stayed to make sure that our final Fun Lunch was successful. As part of our Social Studies and Health curriculum, we watched the movie, “Inside Out” and are talking about how our actions and emotions affect ourselves and the people around us.
